I am running FAH (1.0.2) on a blade env. I have an HPE bl460c gen9 with 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2690 v3 @ 2.60GHz. With just 1 large FAH appliance CPU is running around 70% on the host. I would like to get more FAH running if possible but it seems like even having 2 on the server would be a lot for it. Thoughts?

I'm running on BL460c Gen9s as well with similar processors. You are sure to get more WUs if you give the appliance 16 vCPUs or more. Leave a couple of cores open for the host overhead. I would give your appliances 22 vCPUs.

@davedunaway, thanks, how many appliances are you running on your host?
Thanks.

I'm just doing 1:1. My hosts are dual-socket, 12-cores.
Thought about doing 2 per host, but I'd be giving each appliance 12 vCPUs or less and I wouldn't get as many WUs. After changing to 16 vCPUs or more I get more WUs.

Looks like 7.6.9 was released. 7.6.8 seems to be having difficulty maintaining WUs. I've even had to drop core count in some cases in 7.6.8. I'll look forward to 1.0.4 when y'all can get around to it ;)

Thank you for providing this Fling!

Yea, we were made aware of 7.6.9 after our release. Apparently there's also 7.6.10 which resolves some GPU issues, so we may wait until things settle down before pulling the latest stable release. Thanks for bearing with us

Makes sense to me. I'll look forward to a new version when we're a bit more stable.

so I reached a point where I think it would be good to add a GPU to my home lab a Proliant DL385 G8 for the cause. I've not played with a GPU before. but I would also like to see how it performs with Horizon. As there are instructions for Nvidia Grid Im assuming that type of card would be best. the best Deal I can find on ebay would be around £200 for a Nvidia Grid K2. would this be suitable card for Folding does anyone know or should I be considering something else?

Check the previous comments in this thread. I have some old K1s but haven't bothered since the K1s and K2s aren't really comparable with the tested drivers. It seems that GRID2 cards are acceptable if you have them.
