Hi Rick,
Thanks for your interest in our app and your valuable input.

Though I have not used Forefront Endpoint Protection for scanning Android apks. We have scanned the apks using McAfee, 360+ and Avast and have not seen any virus alerts.

The app by itself does not need any permissions for any devices in mobile, since it does not access any.

While I did stumble upon KB3036437, it seems 4.7 is having similar issues on all downloads.
Could you also let us know the Android Build which you are using, I can take a look at why the apk installer is being blocked. The app is not from Google, hence you need to select the option “Enable Allow installation of apps from sources”. Once installed, you can unselect the option again. [Given in “Instructions”]

Again, I can assure you that the app is very simple UI based and does not need any permissions to interact with your device like network, disk and definitely does not contain any code which would perform otherwise.

Thanks a ton for your interest in our app.

Thanks. I was finally able to get it downloaded via my computer at work. It would appear my home computer has some sort of hosts file and browser hijacks that I have to clean up...

The unknown sources setting on my phone was already enabled. I am using Android 5.0.2 on a Nexus 5.
It is working now as expected.

Thats great news Rick. Thanks again for letting us know.

The download appears to have a virus. I'm using Forefront Endpoint Protection and it is blocking the download stating "This file contained a virus and was deleted." I have also tried downloading directly on my phone and that is also being blocked as the file is not installable.

Really VMware!?
