This Fling supports the most popular USB network adapter chipsets found in the market.
Is there a plan to add support for Asus USB-C2500(Realtek r8152) 2.5Gb USB dongle?
Now I am not sure, the the doc file is named r8152 and yet the according to the the release notes file it claims to be RTL8156B(VID_0B05&PID_1976&REV_3005). It's either RTL8152 or RTL8156B chipset.
Is there a date for release the new version compatible with Esxi 7.0 U3 ?
No, there is not
I have a USB Type C Networkadapter from Intel / Rivet Killer E3100U. From the Windows Device Controll i was able to see that it has the following Device description amd Details:
Device discription: Killer E3100U Ethernet Controller
Device Instance ID: USB\VID_1A56&PID_3100\001000001
Hardware IDs : USB\VID_1A56&PID_3100&REV_3100
Since this is a very common 2.5 GBits Ethernet Adapter will there soon be a possibility for you to integrate it in this driver package?
oh I have se same adapter and wanted to use it with my ESXi... so I assume it does not work?
Your right from the chipset it's a common Realtek RTL8156, so I would have expected that it works...
Unfortunately in the testing i did it didn't work. So i was hoping i would get support leaving the question and details here.
Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction. I have a MSI GE60 laptop that I wanted to put ESXI on, being a realtek driver, I purchased a StarTech USB NIC Wired adapter. Was able to compile my custom ESXi image to install successfully on the laptop. Now I wanted to set this up on an old PC and used the same image and the same adapter, and for the life of me, can't get the install to use the adapter. I think the problems lies within the motherboard not seeing the adapter, or maybe something in the bios not setting it up properly, but no matter what setting I try, nothing will work. The motherboard is a Sabertooth 990FX R2. IF anyone has any idea what to try, or where to look for help, it would be greatly appreciated.
