Hi. I've managed to run it on ESXi 6.7 u3, but I had to rebuild fio. Before I got "illegal instruction" message. If I wanna use sperf for multiple datastore then I should rebuild fio on every deployed VM or just in OVF template?

Hey, I am interested in moving my tennis website to VMware, can anybody assist me with this process, the URL is < www.tennisunit.com >

Is anybody able to get this to work 100%? I used it and it is deploying the vm, the screen is saying "completed successfully" but the rawdata folder under results never gets populated with any data or files. The web browser loads and I can browse my file system that the perf tester is installed on, but again no result files anywhere. Any guidance or response to comments would be great.

I am having the same result. I don't know Python but I guess I'll dig in and see if I can find out why. Oddly it appears to just be persisting with the same results from a run on 7/02/2020, which is probably when this was packaged. Maybe the data is going somewhere else? Sigh.... I was hoping this would work without a lot of time & effort. I looked into VMmark but it is very complicated to set up.

i am getting error "unsuported hardware family 'vmx-17'" , obviously this because I am using esx 6.7u3, any easy way to resolve (besides upgrade esx)?
thx

You would probably have to build a new ovftemplate with a lower VM hardware version (in sperf/ovftemplates).
Here is what it says:
<System>
<vssd:ElementName>Virtual Hardware Family</vssd:ElementName>
<vssd:InstanceID>0</vssd:InstanceID>
<vssd:VirtualSystemIdentifier>sperfVMv2</vssd:VirtualSystemIdentifier>
<vssd:VirtualSystemType>vmx-17</vssd:VirtualSystemType>
</System>

I don't *think* you could just edit the "vmx-17" to a lower number, but maybe. Most likely the whole thing would need to be rebuilt.
