Hi,

Is there a know bug in the Session Audit Report? For my horizon View 6.0.2 (Upgraded few weeks ago from 5.3) audit report shows incorrect concurret session numbers. 7 day report shows more than 1200 peak concurrent and 2 days graph more than 500 peak concurrent sessions. Graph for the current day looks more or less to be a correct, but older graph points are not. Current sessions list of vm's in horizon toolbox do show correct session numbers.

In Horizon View Administrator product licensing and usage shows usage highest value to be 112 concurrent users which is a correct number. (All VM's are linked clones and most of them are non persistent)

Thanks for the very nice and usefull tool. (more days in the session audit report would be very usefull if possible for the next version)

Thanks for reporting this.
One similar was reported by a customer last year but that was fixed on 12/4/2014.
Can you please send me your log files and screen shot pictures? My email is steng@vmware.com
Log files are [installation folder]\webapps\toolbox\*.log

Hello - after I successfully installed the tool, I receive a certificate error when trying to connect to my connection server via URL: https://[YourServer]:18443/toolbox/

Is there a workaround for this? Thanks for your help and I'm excited to use the tool!

By default, Horizon Toolbox is using a self-signed ssl certificate. That's why you see the certificate error(should be a warning from your Chrome/FF/IE/Safari).
I think you can just ignore that warning and click "continue" if you don't have a valid ssl certificate.

Hi Shengbo, I was able to successfully navigate to the tool. However, the Session Audit Report is constantly loading and never displays any data. I have tried selecting the 2 day, 7 day, and 1 month options, but the section continues to load regardless of the selection.

Is this a known issue or am I missing something? Thanks for your help.

The loading process may cost 1 minute if you have a big event DB. Once a reported is generated, it will be cached for half an hour.
If you can't see the report within minutes, this may be caused by a bug. One similar bug was fixed last year, but I guess that you are using the newest version, so this may be a new bug.
Can you send me your log file([installation folder]\webapps\toolbox\*.log)? Thanks.

Hi Shengbo,

I attempted to send the log file to your email address, but it was rejected by the mail server a few times. Is there an alternate email where I can reach you, or another method to send you the log? Thanks.

Sorry, typo error, my email is steng@vmware.com
If you can't send to that email address, you can try tengshengbo@gmail.com
Please login Horizon Toolbox again, and then get log files in "HorizonToolbox1.5\logs\*.log" and "HorizonToolbox1.5\webapps\toolbox\*.log"
Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response, Shengbo!

Modify server.xml:
Connector port="18443" protocol="org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11NioProtocol" maxThreads="150" SSLEnabled="true" scheme="https" secure="true" clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS" keystoreFile="conf/toolbox.keystore" keystorePass="123456"

Feb 26, 2015

Yes. Please prepare a keystore and a keystorePass for your valid SSL certificate and then do the following step:
Edit "HorizonToolbox1.5\conf\server.xml", modify:

If you don't know how to generate keystore file, please Google it :)

Welcome further comments or email me sting@vmware.com directly.

Hello!
Nice fling.
But when i'am trying to install it via "startup.bat install" i'am getting a new CMD-window with debugging info and "Server startup in 5735 ms". Also no way to start tomcat8w.exe - getting window with error " The specified service does not exist as installed service".
What is wrong?

Feb 10, 2015

Sorry, RTFM!
I issued right command "service.bat install" an everything works fine!
