I've just installed Toolbox v7.8 on my v7.3.3 Connection Servers and I can't open the webpage. In IE11 I get an HTTP 500 error. In Chrome I get: You cannot visit <Connection Server Address> right now because the website uses HSTS.

Any ideas?

Code 500 is usually caused by some sort of runtime exceptions, you could check logs named horizontoolbox which is under C:\Program Files\VMware\HorizonToolbox\HorizonToolbox7.8\logs or <your install location>\HorizonToolbox\HorizonToolbox7.8\logs to get more details.

For HSTS issue, try to enter console by typing '127.0.0.1:18080/toolbox' to see if a login page shows up. If this works, it looks some security settings are blocking your access.
Please refer this, https://www.thesslstore.com/blog/clear-hsts-settings-chrome-firefox/ or https://appuals.com/how-to-clear-or-disable-hsts-for-chrome-firefox-and-internet-explorer/ to change browser configuration. Hopefully, it can help you.

Hi Tianqi,

Thanks for the reply.

If I browse to that on one of the Connection Servers I get the following:

Some error happens.
This may be caused by session time out or invalid operation.

In the log all I see is:

2020-03-30 10:21:58 [com.vmware.horizon.auditing.db.EventDataSource]-[INFO] - creating data source!!!
2020-03-30 10:21:58 [com.vmware.horizon.auditing.db.EventDataSource]-[INFO] - ***************Data Source for Event DB!....
2020-03-30 10:21:58 [com.vmware.horizontoolset.SessionListener]-[DEBUG] - Session created

Any ideas?

Hi Tianqi,

Where would I find the error info?

Many thanks.

As with many other companies our workforce is almost all working remote right now due to coronavirus concerns. We have vIPs for both internal and external connection that use the same name. view.companycom. This makes it impossible for us to know who is internal and who is external without looking at the LB. Is there another way to get that information?

Do you not use tags on your Connection Servers at all to separate internal and external users?
