The VMware Horizon Deployment Service (VMDS) enables customers to deploy Horizon on AWS Workspaces. The VMware Horizon Deployment Service ensures the VMware Horizon Agent is securely deployed and properly configured to communicate with your connection servers. The user needs to supply the required inputs during installation of the VMware Horizon Deployment Service installer, place the VMware Horizon Agent Installer in the configured location, and deploy AWS Workspaces. The VMware Horizon Agent will be deployed to the AWS Workspace during customization.


  • VMware Horizon Agent (version 2111 or later)
  • Any version of Windows supported by the VMware Horizon Agent
