The first version was on Dropbox, we recently moved it here and the diff between this version and the first version will be updated in a blog, stay tuned!
I have downloaded the latest OVA of the HCIBench and I’m having some issues, the VMs are deployed but they don’t boot into an OS, instead they are waiting on PXE boot. This happens only when I try to deploy on a VSAN cluster.
However, I tried with a different vCenter deploying into an nfs datastore, the VMs are deployed ok, they boot just fine and the workload test runs just fine. I’m using the same dhcp and Guest Network in both vCenter environments.
Is there any reason why the VMs boot into PXE ?
OVA: from August 22, 2016, version 1.0
Thanks,
That sounds like deployment failed.
1. did you validate the settings before kicking off the testing?
2. if yes, could you check the logs in /opt/automation/logs?
Thanks!
We have our VDI VM's in the DMZ where DHCP is deployed. Coming from the DMZ internal we have it allow all. Outgoing to DMZ we have everything blocked except for explicit ports. What ports does this use to talk to the VM's it spins up? I run the tool and it deploys the machine and then it completes very fast with results showing zero for VM's and IO
HCIBench VM talks to its client VMs through ssh, could you check the logs in /opt/automation/logs?
The version has been punched to 1.5.0.1, yet there is no changelog. Could that please be published?
