Thanks for using the ESXi Compatibility Checker Tool. This tool will no longer be updated or supported. Please use the new fling "Solution Designer" to validate the ESXi Compatibility.
Please try the latest version and let me know if you still have problems.
now "up" works but "comp -s" fails:
Get https://apigw.vmware.com/m4/compatibility/v1/compatible/iodevices/search?vid=0x8086&did=0x1563&svid=0x1028&ssid=0x1FA9&releaseversion=7.0 U1&driver=ixgben&driverversion=184.108.40.206-1vmw.701.0.0.16850804&firmware=N/A:500
Failed to execute command: comp
Sorry, but I couldn't reproduce the issue. Could you please create a log file and send it to me?
Please add the '-l' option in the command line and reproduce the problem. The log file can be found under the '.certs' directory.
I tried with a released (7.0U1 = ESXi Server 7.0.1 (VMware ESXi 7.0.1 build-16850804) but fails:
HostAgent xxx> info
Host xxx : VMware ESX Server 7.0.1 (VMware ESXi 7.0.1 build-16850804)
HostAgent xxx> comp -s
[ERROR] Valid release information is required: poweredOn
HostAgent xxx> up
[ERROR] Failed to get Release information: Release information is required
You are right. I noticed that the 'VMware ESXi 7.0.1 build-16850804' is ESXi 7.0 U1 and the script is unable to identify the version.
We will work on it and get back to you.
Checker works with other older versions but it checked with "VMware ESX Server 7.0.1 (VMware ESXi 7.0.1 build-17325551)" and fails.
up--> [ERROR] Failed to get Release information: Release information is required
comp -s -->[ERROR] Valid release information is required: poweredOn
I think it is because the version is very new. Is there a way to update the DB or solve the problem?
I believe the latest ESXi version is 7.0 U1. The script only checks the versions that are officially released.
hi , i start to receive this error : Please wait, this may take few minutes depending on the number of ESXi hosts...
[WARNING] The compatible status may not be fully accurate, please validate it with the official VMware Compatibility Guide

Does this work before? Or is it the first time you tried? If it worked previously, it might be an intermittent issue. I just tried, and it worked for me. Could you try again? If it's the first time, you may need to check your proxy configuration.
