Is there OOB support for these NVMe drives then, or are we now just stuffed?

No, the ones added are consumer devices and hence why the driver is needed. It is also non-trivial to release these drivers for each release, especially with changes in major releases. I just want to remind folks that these are Flings, there's no guarantee of future compatibility and/or updates. So I want to make sure folks understand and have right expectations as sometimes its simply "assumed" that these are managed like real products :)

I'll drop a note to Engr folks to see if there's anything that can be done but from what I've seen, the usage of this particular Fling has been pretty low compared to others
