About VMware Flings
Flings is a program in the Office of the CTO that enables anyone at VMware to release off-roadmap, experimental tools directly to customers via the Flings site. While Flings are not officially supported and should not be used in a production environment, Fling developers do appreciate feedback and requests through comments to release Fling updates.
About the VMware Flings Site
The Flings site redesign (March 2021) has new features that will help you track your activity on the site and for the Flings you are interested in. If you log into the site before downloading a Fling, you will be able to see at a glance if there is an Update available for any given Fling.
Additionally, your Profile makes it easy for you to return to conversation or check on a bug status.
Subscribe to the Flings quarterly newsletter to find out about new or updated Flings. Also, join @vmwflings on Twitter, or the VMware Labs Facebook page.
The Office of the CTO
VMware’s Office of the CTO (OCTO) is led by Ray O'Farrell. OCTO is dedicated to look over the horizon – exploring, inspiring and innovating to impact the future. Fling is one of many programs in OCTO.
